Who are we?

BeLUG is spreading its wings on the internet

For those not yet familiar with BeLUG :

We are a Belgian club for LEGO® fans, builders and collectors. We all share the same passion for LEGO® and we each have our own ways of expressing this “love of the brick” in our collections and constructions. We have members in all provinces of Belgium and together we organize public events where we demonstrate our LEGO® skills and show our MOC’s to the public. We are completely independent from the LEGO Group but of course we often work together with them.

If you want to see what we did in the past years, please visit the “past events” pages on our web site (www.belug.be).

Our club exists since 2003 and has grown exponentially in the past years. We have more than 500 members, some less active than others, but all of them sharing that same passion for LEGO®. Up till now we have mainly kept in touch with our members through mails and via the discussion forum on the BeLUG web site. Now it’s time to use new media to reach out to them, and also try and share that same passion to the rest of the world.

On a regular basis the BeLUG committee will post some information about our club, our events, some “food for thought”, … on these pages, together with topics and news items from other LEGO-enthusiasts that reflect that same passion for LEGO®. It’s information you can read, comment on and share as you wish. Please do that, but with dignity and respect.

And no, we are not planning to drop our monthly mails ; we just want to explore new media ways to share information.

And no, we will not publish everything in English from now ; Dutch and French remain our primary languages for direct communication but in this opening post “to the world” it seemed more appropriate to use a “world language”
