Today we have another rather recent addition to the BeLUG ranks in our 'Meet BeLUG' series, and I can also say already that the series is sure to run for the whole of februari, thanks to all which have send in their responses!
Vandaag geven we het woord aan een jongedame die misschien wel wat `buiten de planning` een AFOL is geworden, maar dat laten we haar even zelf vertellen...

What`s your intrest in LEGO?
Sinds Brickmania Antwerpen
2014 ben ik een lego-addict. We gingen er eens naartoe voor de kinderen,
maar het sloeg vooral bij mama aan.
I`m a LEGO addict since Brick Mania Antwerp 2014. We went there for the children, but it was mom who got intrested the most.
Ik verzamel Winter
Village, Collectable Minifigures en de Modular Buildings. Maar als ik
van een ander thema iets leuk vind, komt het ook wel in de hobbykamer
terecht.
Ondertussen heb ik een bescheiden lego-stad bijeen
gebouwd. Met de modulars die ik al heb en mijn eerste MOC, een park voor
mijn stadje.
I collect Winter Village, Collectable Minifigures and the Modular Buildings. But if I see something of another theme that I like, it`ll end up in the hobby room as well.
In the meantime I have been building a modest LEGO city. With the Modulars that I own and my very first MOC, a park for my city.
Ook ben ik begonnen aan mijn eerste modular building MOC.
Helaas komt ik steeds blokjes te kort en is er dus nog geen enkele MOC
afgewerkt..
Vooral het bouwen vind ik super leuk, bij mij
blijft er niets in de doos zitten. Verzamelen zonder bouwen is niet aan
mij besteed.
I also started building my very first MOC modular. Unfortunatly, I keep running out of pieces and as such not a single MOC has been finished yet.
I especially love the building aspect, nothing remains in the box with me. Collecting without building is not for me.
En hoe ben je dan exact uit de Dark Ages gekomen?
So how did you get out of the Dark Ages then?
Als kind had ik een doos vol
Fabuland lego, maar de eerste set die ik als AFOL kocht, was Santa's
Workshop. En ik vind hem nog steeds fantastisch.
As a child, I had a box full of Fabuland LEGO, but the first set I bought as an AFOL was Santa`s Workshop. And I still think it`s fantastic.
Wat zijn je favoriete thema`s door de jaren heen?
Which are your favorite theme`s throughout the years?
Aangezien ik nog niet lang met Lego bezig ben, is
het nogal moeilijk om favoriete thema's doorheen de jaren te kiezen. Ik
heb wel spijt dat ik het Harry Potter thema gemist heb. Moest ik toen
al een lego-fan geweest zijn, had ik dat zeker verzameld.
Since I`m not that long `into` LEGO, it`s rather difficult to choose favorite theme`s from all the years. I do pity that I missed out on the Harry Potter theme. Would I`ve been a LEGO fan back then, I would have definitly collected it.
Heb je recentelijk nog toffe dingen aangeschaft?

Mijn
laatste grote aankoop, waar ik echt heel blij mee ben, is de Ninjago
Airjutsu Temple. Ik had er een heel jaar voor gespaard en hij overtrof
de verwachtingen.
My largest large purchase, which I`m really happy with, is the Ninjago Airjitsu Temple. I have been saving up for it the whole year long and it far surpasses my expectations.
Fantastische set, ik twijfel nog steeds om hem dan toch te gaan halen, maar waar moet ik die dan weer zetten...
Waar ben je echt trots op in je collectie?
Fantastic set, I`m still in doubt of actually buying it, becasue I don`t really know where I can place it..
Is there something you`re really proud off in your collection?
Onlangs was ik jarig en heb ik van mijn
fantastische ouders een Grand Emporium gekregen. Als hij aankomt (helaas
nog onderweg met de post) zal het toch wel het pronkstuk van mijn
stadje zijn. Het zal de eerste retierd modular van mijn verzameling
zijn.
It was my birthday recently and my fantastic parents bought me a Grand Emporium. When it arrives (unfortunatly it`s still in the mail) it will be no doubt the centerpiece of my city. It will be the first retired modular of my collection.

Mijn holy grail set is de Grand Carousel. Mijn minifigs verdienen wel wat entertainment in hun stad :-)

Heb je nog bouw- en verzamelplannen voor de nabije toekomst?
Do you have any build- and collectionplans for the near future?
In
de nabije toekomst zou ik graag mijn stadspark en MOC modular eindelijk
afgewerkt krijgen. Voor de verre toekomst droom ik van een veel
uitgebreidere verzameling losse steentjes. Zodat ik meer MOC's kan maken
en er beter in kan worden.
In the near future I would love to get my citypark and MOC modular. For the far future my dream is mainly to have a far larger collection of seperate elements. That way, I can build more MOC`s and get better in doing them.
En zo hebben we weer kennis kunnen maken met een van onze leden!
And so we had the opportunity to once more get to know one of our members!
